Tenchi Muyo! Doppelgangers
Over the years, Tenchi sightings have been strong! Almost every Japanese Animation Convention has someone dressed as the Space-Pirate Ryoko or the cute Sasami-chan. This section is dedicated solely for those wonderful people who definitely have good taste in anime.

Tenchi's dark secret is really that he needs glasses. With them on, he is more than powerful, he is almost unbeatable... FEAR HIM!

What is better than one Tenchi Masaki at a convention? Two Tenchi Masakis at a convention. sporting a more blueish Jurian Battle Armor, nobody could stop this Tenchi from posing to all his fans.

Many famous people attended Sakura Con, including Ryoko Hakubi, from the OVA Series. Taking time off from her busy schedule to visit the Seattle Convention and chill.

What, another Ryoko? Why yes, however this time she has gone Shin. Checkout this Ryoko in her casual black attire from Tenchi in Tokyo. Looks like she was planning to buy some pocky too.

Ahh yea, it's gotta be the fur! But really, it's no surprise that this Ryo-Ohki is surrounded by all the cute Di Gi chicks. Keep it real Ryo-Ohki, Keep it real!

One of the first cosplayers I ran into at Katsucon. This Sasami was in the Dealer's Room looking for some great deals... probably for a Ryo-Ohki backpack and keychain.

No Love-Love Monsters at this Convention, thanks to Pretty Sammy! She represented and waving her baton and saying "Pretty Coquettish Bomber." Well, maybe not, but it sounded nice.

Ramia is probably by far my favorite from Katsucon. The vivid color of the costume plus she really looks like Ramia. Even poor Rumiya was able to be squeezed into the picture. Ramia just rocked!

When I saw this ryo-ohki pouncing around the Artist Alley, I was quickly blinded by its sheer bueaty. So much so I apperently took her picture twice (see second picture in Katsucon Con Report).

Here were the last two Jurians spotted at this year's Katsucon. However, I do feel that Sasami is squenting her eye just a little too hard.

I apparently missed this episode in Tenchi, where Ryoko wears a french maid outfit. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed seeing this version of Ryoko very much, putting Mitoto (Mihoshi's Mother) to shame. Would have been more awesome if she was actually room service! <evil grin>

Now here's a character I wasn't too sure about. All I know that he is a Jurian Palace Guard from the TV Series. Making him either Azaka or Kamadaki. If you know witch one he is, please let me know.

Even though this convention was Pixy Misa free; Pretty Sammy still attended with her trustworthy pal, Ryo-Ohki. This is actually the second time at Anime Weekend Atlanta that Pretty Sammy appeared. . . it might become a trend.

Here's a character rarely seen in cosplay, Azusa Jurai, the emperor of Jurai. He was actually accompanied by Tenchi (next pic), which makes me wonder if the two have finally gotten over there differences.

Yep, waiting for the Dealer's room to open, this Tenchi started using his Light-Hawk Wings to open the doors. My guess is he was trying to get to the Ken-Ohki Plushies first.

Tenchi kicking ass in the evening hours at the con. With the key in hand and wearing the stylish Jurian Battle Armor, this Tenchi was ready for anything. . . even for Dance, Dance Revolution.

Why do people don't like Sakuya? Is it because she actually had a relationship with Tenchi? Well, who cares, because this Sakuya was the only Tenchi member to visit my Tenchi ML: Tenchi Muyo! GXP Showing on Saturday night. Even if she is Yugi's shadow, at least she still enjoys good wholesome anime.

The only Tenchi member I seemed to have missed at AWA. Luckely, John from SciFi Dimensions, was able to catch the adorable Sasami-chan! I wonder, since she's in the Dealer's room, that she got anything for Ryo-Ohki?

Who would have guessed... Middle Tennessee... well, they had a convention there and load and behold we have both a humanoid Ryo-Ohki and Sasami-chan. Wow, even in Tennessee, who would have guessed. Thanks to Maji for the picture!

If you capture a Tenchi Doppelgangers on picture (or you are one), the please send a copy of your sighting to washu@yahoo.com or via AOL IM. Please include the person's name (if known), the photographer's name (would be nice), Date (if possible), Convention (must be at any Convention, not Grandma's house), and location (unless your Ryoga). Important note, Washu-chan reserves the right to judge what goes on this section, so please nothing vulgar.
