The DVD Box Set is Region Coded for 1 & 4 and have both English and Japanese languages with English Subtitles and no edits. However, the Mihoshi Special was the only episode not included in the box set, but instead is in the Pretty Sammy/Mihoshi Special DVD Set.
Both Laserdiscs have both English and Japanese languages.
For people that are confused on First and Second OVA Series. The first OVA series are episodes 1-7 and the Mihoshi Special; and the second OVA series are episodes 8-13. You can tell between the two by the changes in the opening and closing themes. The third OVA series (released from 2003-2005) are episodes 14-20.
The Tenchi Muyo! Collections is the second release of the OVA Series in North America. The first release (between the years 1993-1996) were called Tenchi-Muyo! Ryo-Ohki which were one episode per tape from episodes 1-7, and then two episodes per tape from episodes 8-13. They also had a Laserdisc counterpart and was much more expensive than the second release. There is some differences between the two releases, but they are very few and hard to notice (like changes in the phrases and stuff).
